or, working to a deadline. Not something I experience too often these days, other than when I have a commission, but having said I would produce a pen & ink drawing of the Kirk that is what I am now doing!
The Exhibition at St Mary's Parish Church in Haddington takes place from Friday 12th May through until Sunday 14th. I was delighted to be invited to exhibit at this show along with some very well known names. It will feature glass, ceramics, jewellery and prints as well as paintings and is a good chance to see the beautiful church itself. it was looking particularly fine yesterday when I went to take a few photos with lots of blossom on show. Proceeds from the sale of works will go to the St Mary's lighting project.

This very popular event (there are queues at 10am on Good Friday before opening!) is running again this year, raising funds not only towards the refurbishment of the church kitchen but also for Leuchie House respite home. I am pleased to be exhibiting here again along with many other talented local artists. Open all Easter weekend with hours as shown below.
Pet Portraits? No - Pot Portraits! This one is entitled 'Pot Luck' and will be featured in one of the shows I have coming up, either at the St Andrew Blackadder Easter Art Show, or the St Mary's Kirk art show in May.
October was mainly taken up with pen and ink drawing, and the result of all this effort is a colouring book which features fifteen new drawings of iconic North Berwick buildings and views. It is printed on heavyweight recycled paper and is now for sale in Why Not? in North Berwick High Street, and you can also find it in Dirleton Gallery in the lovely village of Dirleton. Both establishments also carry some of my paintings and prints.
The St Andrew Blackadder Church Easter Art Exhibition has been a popular event for a good many years, raising valuable funds towards the renovation and upkeep of the stained glass windows and stonework of the church. I am pleased to say that I will be exhibiting several works in the exhibition this year. Details as per the flyer below. A good many local artists are represented.
Pleased to report that my exhibition at Hangar Art is going very well. I'm going along again this afternoon for a couple of hours for a Meet the Artist session and will take this unfinished painting and another preparatory sketch, as people like to see the process.
I am delighted to be exhibiting at Hangar Art & Framing as their 'Artist on the Wall' for the month of September. Hanger Art is located at Fenton Barns retail village, open seven days a week and has easy parking. The Preview is from 12-4pm on Saturday 5th September, all welcome to come along for a glass of wine and to view the paintings and prints.
